Charlie Kimball started his IndyCar career in 2001 signing with Chip Ganassi Racing, a leading series team, where he race until 2017. In the 2016 season Kimball was fourth Chip Ganassi entry alongside Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Max Chilton. Kimball finished second at the Honda Indy Toronto, his first career podium finish, and was 19th in the final points’ standings.
