





The Tyrrell 007 was designed by Derek Gardner and raced in the 1974 and 1975 Formula One season by works team, and in 1976 – 77 by some private racing stables. The car built around aluminium monocoque featured double wishbones front and rear suspension, Hewland gearbox and Ford-Cosworth DFV engine. Six racing cars were built – four in 1974 and two in 1975, plus one showcar which did not race. Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler continued to race for Tyrrell in 1975. Scheckter won South African Grand Prix, was second in Belgium and finished the season 7th with 20 points. Depailler’s best was 3rd place in South Africa. French driver scored 12 points and was 9th in the final drivers’ standings of the season.
