The Tyrrell 007 was designed by Derek Gardner and raced in the 1974 and 1975 Formula One season by works team, and in 1976 – 77 by some private racing stables. The car built around aluminium monocoque featured double wishbones front and rear suspension, Hewland gearbox and Ford-Cosworth DFV engine. Scheckter won South African Grand Prix, was second in Belgium and finished the season 7th with 20 points. Depailler’s best was 3rd place in South Africa.
