1951 Mercedes-Benz W154/163 Fangio

In the beginning of 1951 Mercedes-Benz team raced this car in the South American Formula Libre Temporada season. The team consisted of Juan Manuel Fangio, Karl Kling and Hermann Lang, ant the W154/163 car was W154 chassis with M163 3-litre supercharged engine. In Buenos Aires Grand Prix held on Coctanera Norte  Circuit   on  18 February Lang was 2nd, Fangio 3rd and Kling 6th. The race was won by Froilan Gonzales in Ferrari 166FL. A week later, on 25 February, in V Gran Premio Extraordinario de Eva Duarte Perón Gonzales won again on the same circuit. Kling and Lang finished 2-3, while Fangio retired.
