The FA16 was an updated variant of the FA15 from the previous season. The car designed by Alan Jenkins and Dave Amey was powered by Hart V8 3-litre engine which was the weakest point of the model. Japanese driver Taki Inoue retired in 12 out of 17 season’s races and recorded 8th place at Monza in the Italian Grand Prix as his best of the season. His partner Gianni Morbidelli managed to score 5 points and even took the 3rd place in the Australian Grand Prix, the season’s final, which is the best finish of his career.
