The AT02, the second car to be built and run under the AlphaTauri name, was powered by Honda RA621H engine. Japanese rookie Yuki Tsunoda, Formula 2 graduate, joined experienced Pierre Gasly in the team and was out-qualified by him. Tsunoda scored 32 points comparing to Gasly 110, and was 14th in the final driver’s standings.
