The 2019 Haas car incorporated the resplendent black and gold colors of Rich Energy, the premium British energy drink, new title sponsor of the Haas F1 Team. The car designed by Rob Taylor and Ben Agathangelouto differed from its 2018 predecessor mainly by the aerodynamic elements due to changed regulations. The simplified wider and higher front and rear wings were aided for better slipstreaming and promotion of closer racing. Driven by Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen, the VF-19 rarely was able to finish in top-10. Magnussen started the season by immediately scoring a 6th place finish at the Australian Grand Prix, but then achieved only three more small point-scoring results, and ended the season 16th with 20 points, while Grosjean was 18th with 8 points.
