The SF21 was a further evolution of its predecessor the SF1000, and was driven by Charles Leclerc and newcomer Carlos Sainz jr., who joined the team after two seasons with McLaren. Ferrari ended the season without victories. Sainz scored four podium finishes and finished the season fifth in the Drivers’ Championship with 164.5 points, two positions and 5.5 points ahead of teammate Leclerc, whose single podium was second place in the British Grand Prix.
