After the end of European racing season many European F2 teams moved to Argentina to take part in Argentinian Temporada along with some local drivers / teams. Temporada included four races held in December 1968 in Buenos Aires, Cordoba and San Juan. Frank Williams Racing Cars team went to Argentina with three Brabham BT23C cars to be entered for Frank’s regular driver Piers Courage alongside the locals Juan-Manuel Bordeau and Carlos Alberto Pairetti. Courage drove the two-wing variant of the BT23C, won round 4, Gran Premio Argentine Airlines, and ended the Temporada season in 3rd place behind Andrea de Adamich in works Ferrari 166 and Johen Rindt in Roy Winkelmann’s sister BT23C car. It is interesting that in round four one of the Frank Williams BT23 cars was driven by Oscar ‘Cacho’ Fangio, son of five-times World Champion.
