





After three years in 1997-1999 with first generation Indycar chassis (IR-7, IR-8 and IR-9), Dallara introduced a new second generation model chassis for the 2000 season, named the IR-00. Scott Sharp in the 2000 season drove #8 Dallara for Kelly Racing, the team where he spent the most significant part of his career, since 1998 to 2004. In 2000 Sharp won Casino Magic 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, was 3rd at Pikes Peak International Raceway, and finished the season 7th with 196 points.
