Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin and Will Power represented Team Penske in the 2022 IndyCar series. Newgarden drove car #2 painted in Hitachi of PPG liveries. Penske drivers dominated the season finishing 1-2-4 (Power-Newgarden-McLaughlin) in the championship. McLaughlin won the opening round of the season at St. Petersburg, and added two more victories during the season (at Mid-Ohio and Portland). McLaughlin drove with eight different liveries in 17 races of the year. For the Indy 500 he received a famous yellow Pennzoil paint scheme. McLaughlin started 26th at Indy and was classified 29th after an accident on lap 151.
