After his 2021 Indianapolis 500 win with Meyer Shank Racing, 46 year-old Helio Castroneves was signed to drive for the whole of the 2022 season – his first full-time season for five years. Castroneves achieved a season-best result of seventh at the Indianapolis 500 and scored two other top-ten finishes at Long Beach and Mid-Ohio in placing 18th overall with 263 points accumulated.
