In the 2011 ETRC season Czech-based Renault quasi-works team MKR technology expanded to three drivers as MKR Technology signs a Czech pilot, the talented youth Adam Lacko to join Markus Bösiger and Markus Oestreich. Lacko, Oestreich and Boesiger finished the championship 3rd, 4t, and 6th, respectively. The same trio continued to race Renault Premium Sport trucks for the MKR in 2012. All three drivers again occupied the same final positions as the year before – 3 (Lacko), 4 (Oestreich) and 6 (Boesiger)
The Swiss veteran Boesiger competed in the ETRC from 1999 to 2014. Boesiger started his career in motorcycling and took part in the World Motorcycle Championship in 1991-1993, entered the truck tracing with his own Pneus Boesiger team, and won the title in 2007 with Buggyra. In 2012 he has achieved two victories – at Zolder and Le Mans. His careers achievements in the ETRC looks very impressive – 344 races, 56 wins, 132 podiums, and 26 poles.
