Czech toys and scale models brand was founded in 1950 in Nachod, Czech Republic, as a production cooperative called KOVODRUŽSTVO Náchod. In 1992, the cooperative was renamed KADEN production cooperative, Náchod. In 1994, the premises of the KADEN Náchod cooperative were divided into individual sub-companies, and KOVAP and KADEN brands separated. KOVAP continued to produce toys and models in plastic and sheet metal, while KADEN took the niche of resin scale models in addition to their traditional sheet metal production.
