KOVAP

KOVAP is a Czech manufacturer of mechanical tin toys. The company goes back to being founded by the Sedlák brothers in Semily, Czech Republic in 1946. In 1950 the company was reorganized as production cooperative called KOVODRUŽSTVO Náchod (Metal Cooperative Náchod ) in Náchod. From 1960 the name of the cooperative was changed to KOVAP, which means sheet metal and plastic (“kov a plast” in Czech). In 1992, the cooperative was renamed KADEN production cooperative, Náchod. In 1994, the premises of the KADEN Náchod cooperative were divided into individual sub-companies, and KOVAP and KADEN brands separated.  Now KOVAP produces plastic and sheet metal toys and scale models.
