The collection devoted to the most popular Argentinian series, Turismo Carretera, was launched on February 2018. The release of the collection was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Argentine series, which started in 1937. The collection distributed via kiosks in Argentina by Planeta De Agostini. The scale models were made by IXO. The collection included 60 miniatures, and as the collection’s slogan says: “Miniatures of the Turismo Carretera champion cars at 1:43 scale”, it was supposed that only miniatures of the champion cars would be put on sale; but later some non-champion cars were included. Many popular Argentinian champions like Juan Manuel Fangio, Oscar Galvez, Juan Galvez, Matías Rossi, Guillermo Otelli, Juan María Traverso and others are presented in the collection. The last 60th issue was published on 29 July 2020.
The collection was reissued four more times in 2018-2022:
Relaunch 2018. Due to the success of the first release of the Turismo Carretera collection , the publisher decided to relaunch the collection starting with #1 but in some provinces and cities in Argentina in October 2018. The relaunch was distributed until August 2020. 43 issues was included.
Relaunch 2019. The collection was relaunched again in 2019 with 55 issues published from May 2019 to October 2021.
Relaunch 2020. After the initial launch was finished in July 2020, De Agostini relaucnched Turismo Carretera for the third time, starting from September 2020. 42 issues were planned, 34 was released. The last was published in Deecember 2021.
Colección Turismo Carretera 2022. Planeta De Agostini once again distributed the remnants of Turismo Carretera collection on newspaper and magazine stands, and this time the publisher announced it as a limited edition of the existing stock. 33 issues were distributed between April 2022 and June 2023.
All the models distributed in all relaunches of the collection were the same 60 issues 9in full or partially) as in the original edition.
