Sauber car for 1994 Formula 1 season, C13, was powered by Ilmor 3.5 V12 engine, branded as Mercedes-Benz, which marked the official return of Mercedes to Grand Prix racing since 1955. Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Karl Wendlinger teamed up as works drivers for 1994, but after his crash in Monaco Wendlinger was replaced by Andrea de Cesaris and then JJ Lehto took the steering wheel for two last races of the season. Frentzen’s best finish was 4th place in France, last race of C13 with the Broker as main sponsor, changed to Tissot livery for the rest of the season.
