March F1 car for 1976 season was at the disposal of works March Engineering team with Ronnie Peterson, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Vittorio Brambilla, Arturo Merzario and Lella Lombardi. Due to a small budget, the cars tending to turn up in different liveries as race-by-race sponsorship deals were signed. Brambilla was entered under Beta sponsorship, Merzaio raced for Ovoro and Lombardi was sponsored by Lavazza. One of the sponsors was John Day Models, a small British diecast model company running by great enthusiast of motorsport who sponsored Hans Stuck’s entries in the WC races. This contemporary very simple Johan Day model represent Stuck’s 1976 car under the sponsorship of the model maker. Situation is not unique, but quite interesting. As to performance of the car, Ronnie Peterson scored the team’s second and last win at Monza being able to add only one point in all other starts. Stuck’s best performance was 4th position in Brazil and Monaco.
