C18 was the Leo Ress’ brainchild for Red Bull Sauber Petronas team for 1999 Formula 1 season. Car powered by V10 Ferrari engine badged as Petronas demonstrated quite good racing pace, but suffered from poor gearbox reliability and not enough qualifying speed. Jean Alesi and Pedro Diniz scored 5 points for 5 sixth places ranked 15th and 15th in the Championship respectively.
