1999 was third, last and most successful season for Stewart Grand Prix. Jacky Stewart’s team achieved its only victory by the efforts of Johnnie Herbert at European Grand Prix in Nurburgring. Herbert’s teammate Rubens Barichello who spent with the team all 3 seasons was awarded by three third place podium finishes at San Marino, French and European Grand Prix. Barichello scored 25 points in the season, took very impressive 7th position in the Driver’s Championship and secured his move to Ferrari next season. Herbert added 15 more points with his 8th position in Driver’s standings, promoting Stewart Grand Prix to 4th position in the World Constructor’s Championship.
