1983 Williams FW08C Rosberg

Williams model for the 1983 season, the FW08C, was the successor of FW08 of the previous season significantly modified according new regulations which banned ground effect. The most distinctive visual feature of FW08C, similar to some other post-ground effect cars of the season like Brabham BT52 and Tyrrell 012, was short sidepods to minimize the lift form the flat underside of the car. FW08C as its predecessor has aluminium honeycomb monococque chassis and atmospheric V8 Ford Cosworth DFV 3-litres engine. The reigning World Champion Keke Rosberg drove the number 1 car through the season scoring victory at Monaco and second position at Detroit.
