1984 Toleman TG183B Cecotto

TG183B was an updated version of the TG183 introduced for the 1983 racing season. Designed by Rory Byrne, 183 used in last two races in 1982, and 183B was constructed around carbon-fibre monococque with semi-stressed straight 4 Hart turbo engine. In 1984 TG183B was used  in first 4 races until San Marino Grand Prix. The results of 183B in 1984 season were unremarkable and the car is famous mostly because Ayrton Senna made his debut in the Formula 1 behind its wheel. Senna’s teammate was former FIM 350cc and Formula 750 motorcycle World Champion Johnny Cecotto from Venezuela. Cecotto retired in first three races and was not classified at San Marino Grand Prix, 4th round of the season and the last appearance of 183B replaced by TG184.
