F1-2000 was the car which started the era of Ferrari dominance through the first half of the decade. The car designed by Rory Byrne was the further development of the F300 and F399 from the previous two seasons. The major improvement was the new engine with a wider V-angle (90 degrees vs. 75 degrees in the 048 engine). Michael Schumacher who was in his fifth season with Ferrari won his third World Championship title after a year-long battle with Hakkinen on McLaren. Schumacher won 9 Grand Prix against 4 wins by Mika. It was Ferrari’s first crown for 21 years. It also defended Ferrari’s constructors’ title. This scale model is from Fabbri / RBA collection “Grand Prix. Legends of Formula 1”. Model was built by Hot Wheels but the edition for the collection is of significantly lower quality than the same model from original Hot Wheels production.
