March 701 was the first F1 design by March Engineering.  Despite Jackie Stewart has described the car as “the most difficult F1 car I drove”, he was able to achieve the maiden victory for the constructor in its second Championship’ race at 1970 Spanish GP in Jarama. March 701 throughout 1970 season was used by many entrants, including the March works team, Ken Tyrrell Racing Organization and STP Corporation. Works March Engineering team was presented by Jo Siffert and Chris Amon. New Zeelander completely outperformed his Swiss teammate. Amon finished second in Belgium and France and 3rd in Canada. These podiums along with the stable driving in other Championship races put him to the 6th place in the Driver’s Championship final standings. This model by Quartzo is Amon’s car from the French Grand Prix.
