In preparation for 2004 season during the winter testing the Lucky Strike BAR Honda team tested its ’04 Concept car designed to help evaluate new technologies and new Michelin F1 tyres. The car was an interim step from 2003 005 towards the next generation BAR Honda 006 that should be launched in February 2004. The ‘04 Concept Car was introduced on 24th November 2003 at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona as winter testing get underway following the four week testing ban. The car had the distinctive black and silver livery and was driven by Jenson Button and Takuma Sato. This scale model by Minichamps was issued as No. 2 of Takuma Sato Collection.
