The 312F1/69 was the fourth modification of the 312 introduced first in 1966. The 1969 season was a time of restructuration for the Scuderia. Ferrari competed in transitional 1969 mostly with only one car, and the team had no race wins and was only ranked 5th in the Constructors’ Championship. Chris Amon drove in first 6 rounds, and then Mexican Pedro Rodriguez took the seat in 312F1/69 cockpit. For last 3 races of the season in America, the North American Racing Team (NART) was entrusted to enter him. Pedro retired in Mosport, was 5th in Watkins Glen, and 7th in Mexico City.
