




The 804 is Porsche car built to compete in Formula One season in 1962. The car was designed by Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi” Porsche, also known as F.A. Porsche, son of Ferdinand Anton Ernst “Ferry” Porsche, and grandson of the company’s founder Ferdinand Porsche. The 804 debuted at the 1962 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort on 20 May in hands of Dan Gurney and Jo Bonnier. At the fourth round of the Championship, French Grand Prix at Rouen-Les-Essarts, Gurney achieved the only Grand Prix victory in the history of Porsche Formula One team. His teammate Bonnier was 10th at this race.
