The car designed by Gary Anderson and powered by Hart V10 engine, was driven in the 1994 season by Rubens Barrichello and Eddie Irvine. Rubinho, who drove for Jordan for the second season, started the season with impressive 4th place in Brazil and 3rd in the pacific Grand Prix held at TI Circuit in Aida, Japan. Then he was crashed in a violent accident during Friday practice of San Marino Grand Prix, hitting the wall at the Variante Bassa and flipping the car. Later in the season, he took pole position at the Belgian Grand Prix (became the youngest driver to secure pole position at that time), led some laps at Estoril and scored three 4-place finishes in the last 5 rounds of the season.
