The 1994 PPG Indy Car World Series season was the 16th national championship season of American open wheel racing sanctioned by CART. Japanese Hiro Matsushita, heir of the Panasonic founding family, was regular CART driver in 1990 – 1998. He rarely was able to score high points, which were awarded that times to best 12. In 1994 Matsushita’s best and only point finish was 6th place in Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan International Speedway. By the way, it was his best performance for whole 9-year Indycar career.
