





The 1994 PPG Indy Car World Series season was the 16th national championship season of American open wheel racing sanctioned by CART. Brazilian veteran Emerson Fittipaldi continued to race for Penske. He was on podium in 10 races out of 16 rounds of the 1994 PPG Indy Car World Series, but won only once, at Phoenix. Fittipaldi nearly won his third Indy 500 but clipped the turn 4 wall with 15 laps to go while he was holding a nearly full lap lead over teammate Unser Jr. With 178 points Emo was 2nd in the series for the second consecutive year.
