Red Bull switched from Renault to Honda engines in the 2019. The Honda-powered RB15 was driven by Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon. Pierre Gasly was originally meant to be driving the car for the entire season after moving from Toro Rosso to replace Daniel Ricciardo. However after Hungarian Grand Prix he was replaced by Alexander Albon for the remainder of the season. The team leader Max Verstappen finished the 2019 season in 3rd place in the championship with 278 points, the best result of his career thus far. He claimed three race victories, nine podium finishes, two pole positions and three fastest laps. The best finish for both Gasly and Albon was 4th position.
