2019 Toro Rosso STR14 Kvyat

The STR14 car was initially driven by Daniil Kvyat, and F1 debutant Alexander Albon. After the Hungarian Grand Prix Albon was promoted to Red Bull Racing for the remainder of the season, while Pierre Gasly would return to Toro Rosso, due to the poor performance of the Frenchman at the senior team Red Bull Racing. As to Kvyat, he rejoined Toro Rosso as a driver for the 2019 season, after spending the 2018 season as Ferrari third driver. Kvyat produced several excellent drive in the season, including a 3rd-place podium finish at the rain-affected German Grand Prix, finish in 7th place in Belgium after starting in 19th due to power unit penalties. Third place in Germany was the team’s first podium finish since 2008, when Sebastian Vettel won the 2008 Italian Grand Prix. Later in 2019, Pierre Gasly finished second at the Brazilian Grand Prix by 0.062 seconds ahead of Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton taking the team’s third podium. Kvyat finished the season in 13th place in the championship with 37 points, and Scuderia Toro Rosso was 6th in the constructor’s championship. The scale model represents the car driven by Daniil Kvyat in the 2019 Chinese Grand Prix which was 250th F1 race for the Scuderia.
