In the 2020 Formula One season Haas cars were driven by Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen, both competed for Haas for the fourth consecutive year. At the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, Grosjean suffered a serious crash on the first lap in which his Haas VF-20 hit a barrier at high speed. Lucky French driver escaped serious injuries, but this spectacular episode marked the end of his career in Formula One. For the two remaining Grand Prix races his seat was given to Pietro Fittipaldi, the 24-years old grandson of two-time Formula One world champion Emerson Fittipaldi. At Sakhir Grand Prix Fittipaldi started his debut Grand Prix in last and finished the race 17th, the last of the remaining drivers. In Abu Dhabi Fittipaldi qualified 19th and in the race he suffered a slow pit stop and again finished last of the running drivers in 19th place.
