The 1994 German F3 Championship was dominated by Marko RSM driver Jörg Müller. His major rivals were Alexander Wurz representing G+M Escom Motorsport, and Opel Team WTS drivers German Sascha Maassen and Ralf Schumacher. The majority of drivers used Dallara F394 car powered by two-litre Formula 3 engines by Opel or Volkswagen. Maassen, 3rd finisher of the 2003 championship, inherited #1 in WTS Racing team from 2003 German F3 Champion Jos Verstappen. Maassen scored no wins in the Championship races, but his stable performance resulted in 4th position in the Championship. After the European F3 season Maassen won the prestigious Macau Grand Prix. Later he raced mostly in sports cars and won GT Class in Le Mans in 2003 and 2004 with Porsche 911 GT3-RS. Note the remarkable feature of the 1994 Team WTS cars – sponsorship by Minichamps.
