2020 season of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship was initially planned for usual eight rounds with all 2019 events in the calendar. However due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule was delayed, shortened, and rearranged, with a two-round season starting August 29 at Autodrom Most and ending October 18 at the Hungaroring. Following these circumstances the championship was not awarded. The leader on points at the end of the season was Hungarian Norbert Kiss representing Révész TRT team and driving MAN racing truck. Kiss won four out of seven races held. Second was Czech Adam Lacko in Buggyra Zero Mileage Racing Freightliner, third – Johen Hahn in Team Hahn Racing Iveco.

German Sascha Lenz participated only in three races of round 1 in Most (4th race was cancelled due to heavy rain), but was placed 4th in the final standings with 3-2-1 finishes in Most races. Lenz drove green-and-black  MAN #30 for SL Trucksport 30 team. The livery of the truck was inspired by World of Heroes computer game, developed by SPRT Games Ltd, who sponsored the team. Sascha Lenz is the son of three-times European Truck Racing champion Heinz-Werner Lenz. Lenz Senior won race Truck class in the 1997 – 1999. Sascha came to truck racing in 2006, first raced in ETRC event in 2010 and regularly competed there since 2015 in the S.L. Truck Racing Team, founded with his father.
