





Brazilian Tony Kanaan was 2nd in IndyLights series in 1996 and won the series championship in 1997. Kanaan began to compete in the Champ Car Championship Series in 1998, and moved to IRL since 2003 with Andretti Green Racing. In 2004 he clinched the championship with 3 wins. In the 2005 season Kanaan drove No. 11 7-Eleven-sponsored Dallara IR05 – Honda and finished second in the point standings behind his teammate and friend Dan Wheldon.
