Toleman TG183 designed by Rory Byrne in 1982 was distinctive due to twin rear wings and front wing mounted radiators. The updated version of the car, designated TG183B, was introduced in 1983 and was driven by Derek Warwick and new Toleman driver Bruno Giacomelli. After many retirements in the first half of the season, both Warwick and Giacomelli demonstrated consistent performance in the second half. Warwick finished in points in last four races of the season and was 14th in the final standings. Giacomelli scored single point and was 19th.
