





Tyrrell 011 was designed in 1981 to replace the older 010 in the final third of the season. Designed by Maurice Philippe and powered by conventional Ford Cosworth DFV, The 011 raced in three seasons of Formula One (1981 – 1983) although its only full season was 1982. In 1983 in its 011B specification, the car raced two-thirds of the season to be replaced season by the Tyrrell 012. Driven by Michele Alboreto and Danny Sullivan, the 011B scored a win at the Detroit Grand prix in hands of Alboreto. For Sullivan the best result of the year was 5th place at Monaco Grand Prix.
