





In 2012 Marussia F1 Team replaced Virgin Racing in the official Formula One list of constructors as Marussia became increasingly influential in the team, and the team would compete with the Russian license. Popular Russian musician, comic actor, and former Le Mans racer Nikolay Fomenko, president of Marussia Motors, was appointed as engineering director of Marussia F1 team. French GP2 driver Charles Pic partnered Timo Glock in the team’s drivers lineup. His best finish of the year was 12th in the final round at Interlagos. Glock also recorded 12th at Singapore as his seasons’ best.
