Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin and Will Power represented Team Penske in the 2022 IndyCar series. Newgarden drove car #2 painted in Hitachi of PPG liveries. Penske drivers dominated the season finishing 1-2-4 (Power-Newgarden-McLaughlin) in the championship. Power won only once (at Detroit) – compare to Newgarden’s five wins – but due to better stability and many podiums and top-5 placements, was able to won the championship with just 16 points (560 – 544) over Newgarden. It was his second series title.
