Swedish racing driver Tommy Karl-Edvard “Slim” Borgudd is known as ex-ABBA drummer and Formula One pilot. However he was much successful in truck racing. After his very brief F1 career he raced occasionally in Macau Grand Prix (F3), Formula F3000 and Le Mans before moving to European truck racing. In 1986, 1987 and 1988 Borgudd, driving Volvo White truck, was the champion in Class B and C of the European Truck Racing Championship, respectively. In 1988 he was second in the Class B with the same Volvo White. The following years, success was more fleeting, although the Scandinavian driver managed to win 1991 British Open Truck Racing Championship and finish the 1992 Class B championship in third place. Borgudd got his third European title in 1995, winning the FIA European Truck Racing Championship driving Mercedes-Benz truck. He raced in the ETRC until 1997.
