Dutch truck driver and team owner Cees Zandbergen continued the team of his father Kees (Cees) who was seen in European truck racing scene in the 1980s – 90s. Zandbergens always drove Scania bonnet trucks painted in light blue with red, orange and yellow stripes. Founded as Zandbergen Racing, the team was later renamed to Rainbow Warriors Truck Racing. Being an amateur driver, Zandbergen competed mainly in Dutch Truck Racing Championship, where he won in 2017 and 2018. He also was the winner of the Class B of the British Truck Racing Championship in 2008. Occasionally Zandbergen starts in individual races of the European Championship (usually at the Nürburgring), where he made his debut in 2004. This rare scale model by Tekno represents Zanbergen’s Scania of the 2009 ETRC season. He took part in two rounds of the 2009 ETRC season – at Nürburgring and Most and scored no points finishing best 14th in Race 2 at Most.
