Italian model car manufacturer which was based in Burago di Molgora, Italy. The company was founded by Mario, Ugo and Martino Besana in 1974 and called Martoys from 1974 to 1976. Two Bs in the company’s names stands for Burago town and Besana family. In 1974 – 2005 Bburago’s production was localized in the home town, but in 2005 brand went bankrupt and was acquired by Hong Kong-based May Cheong Group (MCG). MCG also owns Maisto and Polistil model brands. Bburago production was moved to China and relaunched in 2007. In 2015 MCG signed an agreement with Ferrari which grants the exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute Ferrari replicas throughout the world. So Bburago is the only manufacturer of modern F1 Ferraris since 2015. It has also few other F1 cars in 1:43 scale, but the models are toy-like rather than fine scale replicas.
