The collection dedicated to 100 years of automobile sport was the first magazine collection on motorsport history. Collection was published by Altaya Editions and was distributed in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and several other European countries in 2001 – 2005. Collection consisted of 50 issues published biweekly. Among 50 cars released in the collection there were several open wheelers from pre-war Grand Prix era, Formula 1 an Indy cars (see listings). Other types of motorsport presented in the collection include rally, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paris – Dakar and London – Sydney marathon. The models of relatively high quality were manufactured by IXO and some of them were inherited from Vitesse.

French collection called “100 Ans de Sport Automobile” was started in August 2001 and finished in August 2003. First issues were priced in French Francs (France changed its national currency to Euros in January 2002). First issue cost was 49 Francs, second 49 Francs and issue 3 onwards 69 Francs. When the country switched to Euro regular issues cost 10.51 Euros. French collection was also distributed in Belgium by 10.41 Euro per issue.
Spanish variant of the collection called “100 Anos de Sport Automovil”, had the same order of issues and was published by Altaya from September 2001 till September 2003.

In 2003-2005 the Collection was reissued with the minor changes in Spain and France. This edition was also published first time in Portugal under the name “100 Anos De Desporto Automovel”. There were some minor differences between national variants of the collection. For instance, in Spain number one of the second edition was Citroen Xsara by local hero Carlos Sainz, recent winner of Turkish Rally. In France the second edition started with the Peugeot 206 WRC of Gilles Panizzi, while in Portugal with Mitsubishi Lancer, winner of Portugal Rally in 2001.

Italian version called “100 Anni di Auto da Corsa” published by De Agostini in the same period of 2003-2005 was unique because it included 60 issues with some interesting additions like Jaguar MkII from 1960 British Saloon Car Championship or VW Beetle from 2002 Beetle Cup.
