The Official Michelin Collection was the series of 45 regular issues (plus some gifts) published by Altaya Editiones in France in 2005 – 2006. The models of various vehicles fitted with Michelin tires were made by IXO. First issue was released in December 2005 and cost 2.95 Euros. Second was 6.95, and regular issues from 3 onwards cost 11.95 Euros. The Michelin collection itself is of no interest to Grand Prix history, maybe with the exception of issue 40 – Formula 1 Ferrari (I have no information on which particular Ferrari F1 model was issued in Michelin Collection). But one particular model distributed as a free gift for subscribers – spectacular L’Eclaire-Peugeot driven by Michelin brothers in 1895 Paris – Bordeaux –Paris race is very unique. The car on which Michelin tested its first tires, as far as I know, was not produced anywhere else except this collection.
