1996 Forti FG01-95B Badoer

Italian Forti Grand Prix team participated in F1 in 1995-96 with its own chassis. FG01 also known as  FG01-95 was designed by Giacomo Caliri , Giorgio Stirano, and  Sergio Rinland. The car was powered by Ford ED 3-litre engine and was the only car on the grid featured traditional manual gearbox. In 1996 B specification of FG01 was used in 4 first races before it was replaced by FG03 car for the Monaco Grand Prix. The major difference between FG01 and FG01B were semi-automatic gearbox and the engine – ‘B’ was powered by new Ford  Zetec. Luca Badoer and Andrea Montermini teamed up in Forti for 1996 season. Best finish for each of them was 10th place – Montermini’s in Argentina and Badoer’s in San Marino. This model by Onyx represents Badoer’s car from the Spanish Gran Prix where both Forti drivers did not qualified.
