JS43, Ligier model for 1996 Formula One season, was the last car in the history of this famous French F1 team. In 1997 the team was bought by Alain Prost, and JS45 raced as Prost JS45. As to JS43, it was the evolution of 1995’s JS41. Olivier Panis drove for Ligier for the 3rd season, and Pedro Diniz took the second seat in the French team. Ligier/Panis combination was the regular mid-of-the-grid runner with several finishes in the points. But the pinnacle of the season was the Monaco Grand Prix where Panis took his only F1 victory (and last for Ligier) in a race with only 3 cars finished.
