The car designed in 1992 by Chris Murphy was developed for 1993 season in the 107B specification. The 107 was fitted with active suspension, and was powered by Ford HB 3.5 V8 engine. Despite small budget the Lotuses were able to bring in some good results. Johnny Herbert, who was in his 4th season with the team, was the major point supplier for the Lotus. The Englishman gathered 11 points, while his partner Alex Zanardi added only one to the team’s account.
