1902 Paris – Vienna race was the major motorsport event of the year and one of the most impressive and spectacular city to city races in the early days of motor racing. 137 starters were recorded in 4 classes – Heavy Cars, Light Cars, Voiturettes and Motor Cycles. Renault brothers, Louis and Marcel started in the Light Cars Class on their 3.8-litre 4-Cylinder 16 hp Type K cars. Louis was delayed by the accidents and technical problems, while Marcel won the race 13 minutes ahead of the fastest Heavy Car, Panhard-Levassor 70 hp in hands of Henri Farman. The scale model is made by Norev. See also the scale model of the same car made by Safir in 1959.
