The 1993 PPG Indy Car World Series season was the 15th national championship season of American open wheel racing sanctioned by CART under the name “IndyCar”. The season consisted of 16 races and was dominated by 1992 Formula One champion  Nigel Mansell. For Mario Andretti, it was his 30th and pen-ultimate season in Indycar racing. Mario won the second round held at Phoenix Raceway, 1-mile oval track, and finished the season in 6th position. Victory at Phoenix was his last Indycar win.
