The 1993 PPG Indy Car World Series season was the 15th national championship season of American open wheel racing sanctioned by CART under the name “IndyCar”. The season consisted of 16 races and was dominated by 1992 Formula One champion Nigel Mansell. 47-years old Fittipaldi won 3 races including Indianapolis 500, and was runner-up just 8 points behind Mansell.
